The 2nd Exploration and Production Task Force (EPTF) Forum, themed “Managing Mature Assets,” was successfully held on 15 December 2025 in Jakarta, Indonesia. The forum brought together regional experts, industry leaders, and key stakeholders to discuss the challenges and opportunities associated with managing mature oil and gas assets across Southeast Asia.
The forum was officially opened by Ms. Mery Luciawaty, Director of Development and Production at Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE). It featured strategic insights and perspectives from the Chair of EPTF, as well as representatives from PHE, the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP), and Brunei Shell Petroleum. The discussions were followed by a dedicated presentation on the Managing Mature Asset Guidelines, highlighting practical approaches and collaborative frameworks to enhance asset sustainability and performance.
The event was also attended by the President of ANP Timor-Leste and Timor GAP, participating as an ASCOPE Observer Member, further reinforcing regional cooperation and dialogue toward a resilient and sustainable ASEAN energy future.
The EPTF Forum aims to strengthen regional understanding of the complexities involved in managing mature assets by showcasing ongoing regional initiatives, sharing international best practices, and introducing ASCOPE’s collaborative efforts to support effective mature asset management throughout Southeast Asia.
