On 17 September 2025, ASCOPE held an introductory meeting with Indonesia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, specifically with the Directorate of ASEAN Economic Cooperation under the Directorate General of ASEAN Cooperation. The meeting aimed to formally introduce ASCOPE’s role and mandate, as well as to explore potential avenues for cooperation within the ASEAN framework.

The engagement provided a valuable platform for open dialogue and the exchange of perspectives on regional economic and energy-related priorities. Discussions focused on identifying possible areas of partnership where ASCOPE could contribute to ASEAN economic cooperation, particularly in supporting regional energy initiatives and collaboration.

This introductory meeting reflects ASCOPE’s continued commitment to strengthening institutional relationships, fostering strategic partnerships, and advancing shared objectives within ASEAN. Through closer engagement with key government stakeholders, ASCOPE seeks to support deeper regional integration and contribute to a more coordinated and sustainable ASEAN energy landscape.
