What is the purpose of ASCOPE ?

Within the ASCOPE Organization, the Head of the National Oil Company in each Member Country serves as a Council Member. The ASCOPE Council is the highest authority within the Organization.

The ASCOPE Council Members meet annually around October/November to review the past year’s activities, to recommend future course of actions, to review and approve the ASCOPE’s Annual Work Program and Budget.

The Venue and the Chairmanship of the ASCOPE Council Meeting is rotated alphabetically among ASCOPE Member Countries, subject to ASCOPE Member’s ability to host. The ASCOPE Council Member of the Host Country acts as the Chairman of the Meeting.
