The 8th ASCOPE (ASEAN Council on Petroleum) Mid-Year Task Force Meeting was successfully held from May 27 to 30, 2024, at the Patra Bali Resorts & Villas. Under the theme "Enhancing Energy Connectivity and Resilience," the event brought together participants from nine ASEAN Member States: Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
This annual Mid-Year Task Force Meeting, a key agenda of ASCOPE, focused on discussing regional strategies and actions in the energy sector, divided into four streams: the Exploration and Production Task Force, the Gas Advocacy Task Force, the Clean Energy Task Force, and the Policy, Research, and Capability Building Task Force.
The 8th ASCOPE Mid-Year Task Force Meeting was hosted by Pertamina. This year’s event introduced several new initiatives, including a Leadership Forum for CEOs, State Officials, and ASCOPE Council Members. The forum centered on ASEAN Connectivity and Resilience and the preparation of the APAEC (ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation) Post-2025. Additionally, the meeting featured a Business Development Meeting, B2B sessions, an exhibition, and bilateral meetings, fostering collaboration and innovation in the energy sector
