One of the most significant initiatives of ASCOPE, the Trans ASEAN Gas Pipeline (TAGP) Project is envisioned to “establish interconnecting arrangements of electricity and natural gas in ASEAN” to ensure greater security and sustainability of energy supply in the region.

The Gas Advocacy Taskforce (GATF) of the ASEAN Council on Petroleum (ASCOPE) is mandated to promote sustainable utilization of gas resources and infrastructure in ASEAN, with the ultimate goal to develop a common gas market in ASEAN for the benefit of ASEAN and ASCOPE members.

ASCOPE Decommissioning Guidelines is a regional decommissioning guideline tailored to the ASCOPE countries with full concurrence and mutual approval by the relevant National Oil Companies in accordance to the international laws & regulations and complying with the national legislations of each member countries.

The new ASEAN Petroleum Security Agreement or APSA is a covenant among Member States that establishes petroleum sharing scheme aimed at assisting Member State(s) in time of emergencies due to petroleum supply shortages. To date, APSA has already been fully ratified by ten (10) Member States namely Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
